Pike Place Market Families: Generations of Resilience
September 21, 2021 @ 5:00 pm - 6:00 pm
FreeHistoric Seattle is excited to present the History Collective – “Pike Place Market Families: Generations of Resilience” – in partnership with HistoryLink, Friends of the Market, the Washington State Jewish Historical Society, and Tandemvines Media on Tuesday, September 21st.
This virtual edition of History Collective highlights the history of Pike Place Market and the stories of immigrant families who have found opportunity and community there. We are honored to include a conversation with two women behind multigenerational legacy businesses at the Market:
Leila Rosas, Oriental Mart
Xee Yang-Schell, Yang Flowers Farm
Moderated by Denise Clifton (author of Tables from the Rubble, editor of Inside Pike Place Market)
