Tables From The Rubble transports readers to San Francisco in the years after the Great Earthquake of 1906. Amid the ruins, restaurants rose to feed the hungry and only a handful remain today. Author Denise Clifton will read from the book and share stories and historic photos from legacy restaurants. Book signing and optional fixed-price dinner will follow. Denise Clifton, owner of Tandemvines Media, will be a featured speaker on a panel discussing "Publishing in a World of Fake News" at Digital Book World's national conference in Nashville, TN, Oct. 2-4. For this discussion, Denise will be drawing on her experience as a journalist – most recently covering research into disinformation campaigns for Mother Jones – as well as her expertise as a publishing strategist.
