As a contributing editor for Mother Jones from 2017 to 2019, my original reporting explored research into the spread of disinformation. I wrote about efforts across academic, technology, legal and national-security circles to document how lies are spread – and experts’ recommendations on how to navigate a path to counter disinformation while protecting privacy and free speech. My contributions also included writing and editing a weekly email newsletter to gather related news-analysis for Mother Jones readers.
